Emission Quantification
GHG reductions calculated from manufacturing data.

A blockchain-based marketplace for carbon credits that quantifies greenhouse gas emission reductions from secondary metal manufacturing processes.

Overview
The project quantifies the greenhouse gas emission reductions resulting from secondary manufacturing processes which produce metals, metal oxides or alloys from metal-bearing waste streams.
Our goal was to design a full ecosystem and develop and launch a blockchain-based marketplace for carbon credits.
The Challenge
Encouraging businesses to participate meant overcoming resistance to change, addressing data security and privacy concerns and demonstrating the economic benefits of the marketplace.
Accurate quantification and verification of GHG emission reductions posed technical and operational challenges that had to be solved for the marketplace to be trusted.

Our Solution
We created a fully functional marketplace for carbon credits in the metal manufacturing industry, built on blockchain technology.
It enables companies to trade carbon credits transparently and efficiently, encouraging them to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

Key Features
GHG reductions calculated from manufacturing data.
Transparent, tamper-proof credit issuance and trading.
Buy and sell credits between verified participants.
Trusted validation of reported reductions.
